Eğriçayır Organic Lavender Honey

We annually move a portion of our hives to the lavender region in the Taurus Mountains for lavender honey production. Lavenders begin to bloom in early June and generously offer their lavender nectar to our bees until mid-July. Our bees collect the majority of lavender honey from lavender nectar. Lavender honey doesn’t smell like lavender, but it has a unique taste and aroma. It is certified organic (Check our organic certification and analysis results).

The second difference is the 300-year beekeeping experience of our family, who has been living with Yörük culture. Let us briefly introduce Eğriçayır to you. Our beehives are located in the Eğriçayır Region where we were born and raised, and where our childhood passed. Eğriçayır Plateau is approximately 110 km away from Erdemli district of Mersin. In this region, only wild field flowers are formed due to the high altitude of the plant flora (approximately 2,500 meters).

Thanks to this magnificent flower flora, we returned from all the competitions we participated abroad with awards, and our organic flower honey was awarded a gold medal at the world’s most prestigious beekeeping competition, Apimondia.

We manage a rigorous audit and monitoring process from the apiary, hive to the jar in all stages. We manage this audit and monitoring process in both organic honeys and natural honeys. In organic honey, independent organic certification companies are involved in the audit process, and in the natural honeys we produce with controlled beekeeping, Eğriçayır audit teams are audited.

We audit in the points where controlled beekeeping certificate holder beekeepers produce, and after the comprehensive analyses are completed, we pack and deliver Eğriçayır products to you.

We produce and control Eğriçayır standards with controlled beekeeping certificate qualified beekeepers, and where we have been producing our products for hundreds of years, where the bee is and where it is produced, we monitor each step, each analyzes and approve the Eğriçayır standards.
